Overview

This employee is responsible for testing, assembling and maintaining products and prototypes developed by the company or its partners. He/she is in charge of the mechanical and electronic workshop and is responsible for meeting manufacturing or maintenance deadlines from order to customer delivery in close relationship with the French mother company. He/she is also required to assist the sales team in demonstrations mostly in the Southern States but possibly in North America area.

Responsibilities

  • Suggest ideas and improvements for the design of robotic or mechanical platforms and systems;
  • Act as a link between the R&D team in France, the US sales team and the customers;
  • Manage equipment inventory and orders;
  • Supervise subcontracted manufacturing activities when they are based in USA;
  • Product assembling;
  • Participate in the drafting of manufacturing, use, maintenance and quality control documentation for products and prototypes;
  • Train customers or partners in product use and maintenance;
  • Manufacture, maintain, fine-tune, repair and operate robots, equipment and accessories dedicated to the collection of macro-waste and hydrocarbons;
  • Manage and carry out maintenance on products sold or rented by the company;
  • Carry out prototype and product validation tests in the workshop or in a real environment;
  • Carry out experiments on prototypes and write experimental reports;
  • Demonstrate products and prototypes (particularly at trade fairs, public events or for customers);

Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years of Electromechanical experience
  • Familiar with workstation, laptop, equipped workshop (drill press, drill press, disc press, pneumatic riveter, pneumatic nibbler, dremmel, soldering iron, circular saw, air compressor (low pressure), pneumatic blower, glue gun, pneumatic putty gun, electric screwdriver, etc.).
