About this mission
From June 8 to 12, 2026, a targeted business & exploration mission will take place in Houston, at the core of the most advanced CCUS ecosystem globally. The programme explores the full carbon value chain: Industrial Emitters → CO₂ Infrastructure → Storage → Utilization (EOR & beyond).
Texas concentrates nearly half of the U.S. carbon storage potential. Strengthened federal tax incentives, a structured regulatory framework around Class VI permits, existing CO₂ infrastructure and large-scale industrial projects position the region as the future global CCUS hub.
The programme combines exchanges with major industrial and energy emitters, discussions with ExxonMobil leadership and a site visit, meetings with CCUS hub developers, dialogue with EPCs and oilfield service companies involved in project execution, as well as on-the-ground immersion at operational infrastructure sites.
