A recognized expert in lipid chemistry and biological extraction, the Company develops and manufactures specialty ingredients, and offer recognized formulation expertise and technological advice to the pharmaceutical and personal care industries.

They are looking for a Maintenance and Falicilies Coordinator for their brand-new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is located in Lufkin, Texas.

Main missions

  • To oversee maintenance activities, stocking inventory, and providing administrative support to all site departmental functions
  • To manage third-party contractors such as plumbers and electricians to accomplish maintenance tasks.
  • To collaborate effectively with colleagues including specialists, management, and quality personnel.
  • To ensure that all job specific responsibilities relating to overall role objectives are carried out in accordance with EXCiPACT and EFfCI requirements for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Main responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks and document instructions and procedures for the preventative maintenance of facility and utility components, systems, and equipment, including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, plumbing, and fire protection systems
  • Implementation of maintenance methods (preventive maintenance plans, instructions/operating procedures, maintenance ranges, list of emergency spare parts to be kept in stock, etc.)
  • Manage and log all interventions (servicing/maintenance/metrology/Adjustments/Settings, etc.) on the installations for maintenance (preventive, corrective, improving) and any complaints during the warranty period.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans while ensuring quality standards are consistently met.
  • Manage supply and material inventories.
  • Source and purchase (with approval) equipment, tools, or materials that may be required for maintenance activities.
  • Update maintenance logs for all machinery.
  • Establishing protocols for non-mechanical maintenance.
  • Safety: Follow all safety rules, guidelines, and procedures to ensure a safe work environment; Properly wear and maintain all required PPE as specified by policies; Regularly inspect and maintain production equipment and machinery to ensure they are in safe working condition. Report any defects or issues immediately; Enforce Lock-Out-Tag-Out protocols for maintenance operations; Communicate safety information and concerns to coworkers and management.
  • Perform all job tasks in accordance with ISO 9001 and compliance to GMPs of pharmaceutical and cosmetics excipients (EXCiPACT and EFfCI current revisions).
