ABOUT FACC TEXAS

The French-American Chamber of Commerce Texas (FACC Texas) is a non-profit organization that strengthens business relationships and commercial opportunities between French and American companies. Based in Houston, it connects companies, executives, and institutional partners across Texas’ leading industries.

CONTEXT & MISSION

As Program Manager – Strategic Missions, you will design and deliver the Learning Expeditions and executive missions that bring French and American leaders together around the issues reshaping their industries. You will lead roughly two missions per month, from the first strategic question through senior-leader access, participant experience, and follow-up. Before any agenda exists, you will read the sector, decide which conversations are worth having, and determine who needs to be in the room. The measure of success is not logistics: it is the quality of the access you create and the strategic value participants take home.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Mission Design

• Shape Learning Expeditions around the economic, industrial, technological, and policy issues that matter to France, the United States, and Texas
• Translate broad themes into compelling mission concepts with clear learning objectives, a defined delegation profile, and measurable strategic outcomes

Leadership Engagement

• Build and cultivate relationships with senior executives, founders, investors, policymakers, academics, and ecosystem leaders
• Secure executive briefings, company visits, roundtables, and private discussions that give delegations genuine access to sector leaders
• Serve as a credible ambassador for FACC Texas and create purposeful, lasting connections among participants, hosts, speakers, and institutional partners

Program Leadership

• Own the full lifecycle of each mission: agenda, stakeholder outreach, speakers, hosts, materials, follow-up
• Manage detailed project plans, travel and venue logistics, site requirements, vendors, budgets, schedules, and contingency plans
• Keep participant communication clear and timely from first invitation to final debrief

Sector Intelligence

• Research priority sectors, market developments, innovation ecosystems, investment activity, and supply-chain dynamics
• Turn that research into mission concepts and concise sector notes, with Communications and Partnerships

PROFILE

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, international relations, economics, public policy, or a related field
• At least 2 years of professional experience, or a recent Master’s degree plus relevant internships
• Experience with executive events or delegations is a plus, but not required

Skills

• Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to produce clear and persuasive materials for senior audiences
• Professional fluency in French is a strong plus: the role bridges both business cultures
• Demonstrated ability to manage multifaceted projects involving senior stakeholders, fixed deadlines, external partners, budgets, and shifting requirements
• Ability to research unfamiliar sectors quickly and synthesize complex information for executive audiences

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Full-time position, on site in Houston, Texas, with regular travel across the state
• The role involves occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends to match senior stakeholder schedules and mission delivery
• Salary range: $70,000 – $85,000, depending on experience
• Visa sponsorship available, including J-1 and H-1B
• Start date: as soon as possible. Candidates relocating from France are welcome
